Currently, he is working as a Professor in the Department of Law of the University of Chittagong and was elected Dean of the university on March 30.

The government appointed Prof Abdullah Al Faruque as vice chancellor of RMSTU for four years on March 23. 

In a letter sent to the ministry concerned on March 29, Dr Abdullah expressed his inability to take the new responsibility of RMSTU, relevant sources confirmed the information.
